Welcome to the Gilson College web site. When I first came to Gilson College in 1996, I was delighted to discover that on this campus Jesus reigns supreme. The dedication of the staff, the emphasis on service to others and the integration of faith and learning in the classroom testify to His influence. It also didn't take me long to see that Gilson College is a great place for students - a place where they can get involved with the many different aspects of school life.

As a member of the world-wide Seventh-day Adventist Education system, the College shares in a heritage that extends back to 1896 here in Melbourne, Australia. Perhaps the most important tradition is the friendliness, which pervades this campus. Established on this site in 1988, Gilson College seeks to encourage the spiritual, academic, physical and social development of each student, in a caring Christian environment that promotes excellence.

Today, I am pleased that even though Gilson College still honours its traditions, it has its eye on the future. Our plans for building construction, computer equipment purchases, and student scholarships; with strong church support; a growing student body; with continued curricular innovation; with staff and students who can't be beat; and with the 'Main Man's' blessing we look to our future with more assurance.
